Blue Jays Drop Game 1 of Wild Card Series

The Toronto Blue Jays hosted their first playoff game here at the Rogers Center in more than half a decade taking on Seattle in the best of three Wild Card series if you aren’t one of the 50 000 fans here at the Roger Center here’s a quick look at what you may have missed Hernandez will watch this one Bell.

Cal rally with a home run for Seattle in the first inning bringing in two runs and giving the Mariners an early three-nothing lead they would go on to score another run in the fifth and take game one for nothing 100 mile an hour sinkers um he had really good stuff today and you know we managed our hits and at bats.

Were decent and couldn’t get the big hit when we got guys on base for Blue Jay’s pitcher out Manoa this was his first Major League Baseball playoff start yeah it felt great um you know first track of the game There Was You Know great energy and I felt like every out you know we had a whole country behind us so energy was great and this is what we grind all.

Year for right to have home field advantage and um you know it’s two out of three so we’ll be back tomorrow it’s going to be exciting to see them come out for sure I think the way that they’ve grown as a unit over the last month especially will be key to how they come out and play together tomorrow and I’m excited to see.

How they respond um I hope the goal is for not any one person to try to do too much and understand that we have a very good lineup and a very good team so I’m excited for tomorrow uh and you you try to win two in a row to win a series but this group is ready for it they’re up for the challenge I’m looking forward to.

It tomorrow during the game George Springer took a nasty pitch to The Race manager John Schneider with an update he’s okay x-rays are negative for a fracture he’s feeling all right and we’ll see how he feels tomorrow but hoping he’s good to go starting on the mound tomorrow for game two of the series between Seattle and the Jays.

Kevin Gossman starting for Seattle former blue jay Robbie Ray you can watch all of the games on Sportsnet for city news in Toronto I’m Lindsey Dunn
